1st - "Saddle Entry"

The first is often described as the most difficult starting hole on the Fylde. The tee shot is over a grassy pit to a sloping fairway. The ideal line is up the left edge as everything will run to the right here but beware the OB which runs all the way up the left of this hole. The approach is a long uphill shot to a "Classic MacKenzie" two-tier green protected by bunkers left and right.
